NEW BUSKITS have confirmed the current availability of their kits. In addition, Alan has announced that BUSKIT 2 and BUSKIT 7 are to be re-released to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Salford City Transport. Each kit will include a set of specially commissioned Salford transfers and scale photocopies of the complete Salford destination/number blinds.

ALKIT is a new concept in bus modelling, building standardised die-cast, resin or white metal components into a scratchbuilt shell made from reinforced duplex aluminium sheet to produce the model bus that YOU want.

Each ALKIT is individually researched and hand-built - please email Alan for details of price, postage etc. The price of the model includes steering wheel and glazing appropriate to the model you asked for. The glazing is packed separately for those customers who prefer to spray paint their models.

***Please specify Bedford or Ford wheels when ordering

Pictured on the left is a Massey bodied Foden double-decker with eventually entered the PMT fleet as their H812 (XRE 590). Alan has built this model from scratch using sheet-metal and resin/plastic interior components and chassis. Alan is always happy to consider scratch-building, or conversion work, to enable collectors to have the model they particularly want. Enquires should be addressed to Alan at 3 Hallwood Avenue, Salford, M6 8WW - please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope for a reply.

Alan Johnson can now supply custom built models using EFE components to represent any of the Park Royal or Roe Atlanteans and Fleetlines based on the Park Royal 'Sheffield' style 1964 body design (see above right). Other examples so far built include Fleetlines for Birmingham and West Riding, and Atlanteans for King Alfred, Sheffield, Ashton, Leicester and dual door buses for Salford. Prices range from £60 to £80 depending on the work involved. Please contact BUSKITS with your enquiries.

Alan Johnson's range of 1:24 scale bus wheels. Each set consists of brass axles 'push fitted' to resin wheels onto which detailed 'rubber' tyres are mounted. White metal wheel trims are included in the different sets as follows (pictured from the left):

Set 1: Leyland Atlantean / Leopard with full wheel trims
Set 2: Leyland Atlantean / Leopard with exposed axle covers
Set 3: Daimler Fleetline with front wheel trims and rear hub covers

These are available at £16 per set plus £1.50 UK  postage - please email BUSKITS for full details

For full details of the above models, including prices and Alan's postal details, please email BUSKITS.
